How to Clear Out a Packed Garage
The three-pile system
Set up three zones: keep, donate or sell, and haul. Decide once per item and put it down in its pile — the thing that turns a one-day job into a one-month job is picking the same item up five times. Be honest about the haul pile; that’s where the space comes from.
Zone by zone, not all at once
Clear one wall or corner completely before you move to the next. Visible progress keeps you going; dumping everything into the middle of the floor is how people quit. A finished corner is a promise you’ll finish the rest.
Beat the Florida heat
Start early — a closed Broward garage is an oven by 10 a.m. Hydrate, prop it open for airflow, and watch for the surprises long-stored boxes hide down here: mold, mildew, and the occasional critter. Gloves on.

Should I rent a trailer or hire a full haul?
A dump trailer is great if you want to fill it on your own schedule; a full-service haul is best if you want it gone today without the lifting.
